BILLING & REFUND POLICY — SOCIAL SPACE
1. Overview
This Billing & Refund Policy explains how payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds work on the Social Space Platform (the "Platform").
By making a purchase, subscribing, tipping, or sending a paid message through the Platform, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Use.
2. Payment Processing
- All transactions are processed securely through authorized third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, CCBill, or others).
- Social Space does not store full credit card numbers or payment details.
- Payments appear on your statement under the descriptor provided by our payment partner.
- By submitting a payment method, you authorize Social Space and its payment processors to charge all applicable amounts as described at checkout.
3. Creator Payments
- Payments to creators are calculated after applicable Platform and processing fees.
- Payouts occur on the published schedule once thresholds are met and any fraud or compliance holds have cleared.
- Social Space reserves the right to delay or withhold payouts in cases of chargebacks, fraud investigation, or Terms violations.
- Creators are responsible for taxes, reporting, and any financial obligations on their earnings.
4. Memberships & Subscriptions
- When you subscribe to a creator, your subscription auto-renews at the end of each billing period unless canceled.
- Renewal charges occur automatically using your saved payment method.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time before the next renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
- Access remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
Go to your account settings → "Subscriptions" → select the creator → click "Cancel Subscription."
5. Tips, Messages, and One-Time Purchases
- Tips, one-time messages, and other à la carte purchases are non-refundable and final once sent.
- These transactions represent immediate value delivery between the user and creator.
- Chargebacks or disputes over one-time purchases may result in suspension of your account.
6. Refunds
Because of the nature of digital content and instant access:
- All sales are final.
- Refunds are only granted under the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate payment caused by technical error;
- Fraudulent use of a payment method (with supporting documentation);
- System-wide billing issue acknowledged by Social Space.
- We do not issue refunds for user dissatisfaction, accidental purchases, or lack of activity by a creator.
- Social Space reserves the right to deny refund requests that do not meet these conditions.
Email support@socialspaceapp.com within 7 days of the transaction.
Include your account email, transaction date, amount, and reason for request.
7. Chargebacks
Unauthorized chargebacks filed with your financial institution will result in:
- Immediate account suspension;
- Possible forfeiture of remaining balances or subscriptions;
- Termination of creator payouts associated with the disputed transaction;
- Blacklisting from future use of the Platform.
We encourage all users to contact support@socialspaceapp.com to resolve issues before initiating a chargeback.
8. Taxes
Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which will be calculated and shown at checkout where required by law.
You are responsible for all taxes associated with your purchases.
Creators are independently responsible for reporting and paying taxes on their earnings.
9. Pricing Changes
Social Space or individual creators may update prices for memberships, messages, or digital goods at any time.
Changes will apply to future billing cycles only. Users will be notified of price changes in advance.
10. Currency & Conversions
All transactions are processed in U.S. dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
If you pay in another currency, conversion rates and fees are determined by your payment provider.
11. Fraud & Abuse
Social Space monitors accounts for fraudulent activity, payment abuse, or Terms violations.
We reserve the right to:
- Refuse or cancel transactions;
- Suspend or terminate accounts;
- Withhold payouts pending investigation.
Fraudulent activity may be reported to payment processors, law enforcement, or other relevant entities.
12. Updates to This Policy
We may modify this Policy at any time.
The updated version will be posted at joinsocialspace.com/billing-policy with a new Effective Date.
Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
